Sam Watches a Fight at the Docks!

I use to work for a shipping agent and I had to go down to the docks to get paperwork from the ship's captain. We had a new girl called Sam, short for Samantha, and I had to teach her the ropes. She was 17, pretty, a bit shy and I was only too pleased to take her down to Tilbury Dock to meet a ship that had come in.

Anyway, we boarded the ship, went to the Captain's cabin, and got the relevant paperwork, checked it over and then I got ready to deliver the paperwork to Customs so the Captain could release the goods. As Sam and I got down to the bottom of the gangway, there was a ferocious argument between two dockers. Several other dockers gathered round to watch and before I knew what was happening, the argument developed into a fight and blows were exchanged. I thought this a bit unseemly for Sam, so I turned to her and said maybe we should go. Expecting to see her look shocked, maybe even frightened, I instead saw that her eyes were lit up and her cheeks were flushed. A smile was spread across her face! She was aglow with excitement!

"Don't be silly!" she said, taking me by the arm to draw me closer to the fight. "Let's watch!"

The fight continued. Blow after blow was thrown. Some hit their target, some didn't. I was more intrigued by Sam, who seemed to be totally engrossed by the fight.

"Who do you want to win?" I said.

"The one with the curly hair!" she giggled. "Cause he is the good looking one! Look at those gorgeous muscles and that lovely body!" He was stripped to his waist and it suddenly struck me that her enjoyment was not so much natural cruelty, but that she was being sexually turned on.

"Well, cheer him on!" I suggested.

"Don't be silly," she said, still giggling, but keeping her eyes intently on the fight. She still held on to my arm and was pressed quite close to me. It wasn't anything sexual. It was to keep me there at the fight so that I wouldn't leave. She was pretending to act demure, softly smiling and giggling, as if we were watching a couple of schoolboys making fools of themselves; but I could tell she was enchanted by the sight unraveling in front of her and by her slight trembling, excited by it.

The fighters, bloodied and bruised, carried on. Sam's man was getting the better of his opponent.

"I think your man's going to win," I said.

She laughed. "I think so, too, but I want to see him mess up the other guy some more!"

He did mess him up some more, to Sam's barely restrained delight, and when he started punching home the finishing punches, Sam clung closer to me, let out an excited squeal and shouted, "Finish him! In the mouth! Mess up his nose!"

The loser slumped to the ground. The fight was over. The other dockers gathered round, helped the loser, congratulated the winner.

I said we had better go. We were running late.

"Aw, can we wait just a minute..?" she pouted. Her eyes kept going from the winner to battered and bloodied loser, enjoying the sight of both.

We finally did leave. In the car, I asked her what she thought of the fight. She was still glowing. "I loved it! I could have given the winner a big kiss for being so wonderful!"

"You should have," I gently teased her.

She giggled lightly. "I should have done," she agreed.

"You know, you have a speck of blood from the fight on your blouse," I said.

"Have I?" she said excitedly, looking down.

"No," I said, "Only teasing."

She laughed, but I could tell she was hoping there would be.

"Docks can be rough places. This may not be the last fight you see."

I could tell by the soft smile on her face, the faint glow on her cheek, that she hoped that was true.
